Symons on Totally Off Road Radio Symons Event Safety recently participated with Totally Off Road Radio (TORR) in a special live broadcast related to safety in off-road motorsports.  Symons' General Manager, Al Duke, and Medical Director, Jeff Grange, MD, discussed recent incidents in SCORE, CORR and other off-road organizations.  They also reviewed some of the recent research and discussed what to do if a lay person comes across the scene of a significant off-road accident.

Symons Event Safety to Provide Ambulance Services at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Symons Event Safety has agreed to provide ambulance services for the Citizen's Business Bank Arena which will open this fall in Ontario, CA.  CBBA will be a state-of-the-art facility that will play host to Ontario Reign ECHL ice hockey and a variety of other sporting competitions, concerts, family shows, special events, and community activities as well as private events.  The venue will be the biggest and most modern arena within the Inland Empire.  Citizen's Business Bank Arena will be the centerpiece of Piemonte at the Ontario Center, a massive mixed-use project, with large scale office, retail, entertainment and urban living components.  Built on a 37-acre footprint in the middle of the project between Haven Avenue and Milliken Avenue and Fourth Street and the I-10 Freeway, Citizen's Business Bank Arena will include 9,500 fixed seats with additional "portable" seating risers to accomodate capacities of 11,089 for concerts, 9,736 for ice hockey and 10,832 for basketball.  The 225,000 square foot venue will also feature 36 suites located on two levels and a continuous concourse hosting a variety of refreshment stands and merchandise kiosks, a VIP club and other fan amenities.

  Symons Partners with CORR  Symons Event Safety is proud to announce its partnership with Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR).  Effective immediately, Symons Event Safety will be the official provider of fire/safety services at all CORR events which includes everything from CORR's home track in Chula Vista to their tracks in Pomona and Las Vegas.  Symons' Fire/Safety Coordinator, Al Rapoza, will take the lead in ensuring that all CORR races are as safe as possible.

Mike Metcalf supervising Mayhem

Symons Event Safety announces Mike Metcalf, EMT-P as its new Interim Operations Manager. 

On July 21 Symons Event Safety announced that Mike Metcalf would take over the operations management duties for Symons.  Mike is well known throughout the EMS community for his role as a flight paramedic with Mercy Air and as a field supervisor at Auto Club Speedway.  Mike also functions as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medical Services at Cerro Coso College.
