Services offered

Symons Event Safety offers basic life support with EMTs for low risk events or to help staff your first aid station.  Although basic EMTs are the backbone of any emergency medical services system, additional resources are typically recommended for higher risk events such as motorsports, rodeos, and high risk concerts that include moshing etc.  Our basic EMTs are trained not only to provide great basic first aid but they have automated external defibrillators available and are trained in how best to access the local emergency medical system for the rare instances that something more serious occurs at your event.

Symons Event Safety offers advanced life support with paramedics for higher risk events.  Paramedics complement the basic EMTs at an event and significantly expand the scope of practice available at your event.  Paramedics are allowed to provide advanced emergency airways, give numerous emergency medications, and start intravenous lines.  Paramedic level care or higher is recommended for any high risk events such as motorsports, rodeos, and high risk concerts that include moshing etc.

Symons Event Safety offers specially trained emergency nurses that can provide a much broader scope of care than EMT's and/or paramedics.  Nurses, for instance, are able to start intravenous lines and hydrate patients and then discharge them from a first aid station if all their symptoms resolve under a physician's protocols.  Nurses can also provide wound care and give tetanus shots for those venues that are desiring to go above and beyond the minimum insurance requirements for an event in order to provide a higher level of customer service and prevent numerous unnecessary transfers to local hospitals.

Symons Event Safety has a large pool of physicians available for your specialized event needs.  Symons has numerous board certified emergency physicians with prehospital expertise that can assist with your event throughout the Western United States.  Symons also has the following specialties available as needed: ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons, pediatricians, internists, plastic surgeons, etc.

Symons Event Safety offers both basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) ambulances for your event. Symons also offers 4x4 ambulances for off road events. Capabilities may vary depending on the state, county and other local regulations, however, Symons is able to subcontract for these services in those areas where they aren't licensed to provide their own ambulances.

Fire Safety

High risk events such as motorsports frequently requires personnel highly trained in Fire suppression, rescue and extrication.  Symons Event Safety offers highly trained professionals capable of fire suppression, rescue and extrication in the unique motorsports environment.  All fire safety personnel are compliant with the 2009 NFPA 610 standards for Safety at Motorsports Venues.  Our fire safety personnel receive additional training in the unique aspects of providing services during live television broadcasts with their inherent time challenges.  They also receive specialized training in how to deal with various head and neck restraint systems and other unique aspects of motorsports safety.

Mini Ambulances

Symons Event Safety has a variety of "mini ambulances" available for your events that may require the transporting of patients from difficult to access areas to first aid stations and/or ambulances.

MOBile First Aid Stations

For those events that are in remote or temporary locations, Symons offers various types of mobile first aid stations.  Options include tents, trailers and motorhomes customized to your needs and staffed with any combination of EMT's, paramedics, nurses and/or physicians.

Mobile First Aid Stations

For the extremely remote or "difficult to access" events, Symons offers telemedicine capabilities that allows all the specialists and expertise of a major medical center to be "virtually present" at your major event.  These capabilities should be considered for remote locations such as off shore oil rigs, cruise ships, foreign adventure races, and other events where transport times to reasonable medical facilities takes an extended period of time.
