Symons Collaborates with San Antonio Community Hospital at First Reign Game.



On October 25 Symons Event Safety collaborated for the first time with San Antonio Community Hospital to provide first aid services at the new Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.  The Ontario Reign won their inaugural season opener outscoring the Wranglers 4-1 in front of a crowd of 8,832.  Pictured here are Luke Musci, EMT and Kelley Piper, RN as they support the first ever hockey game at the new state-of-the-art arena.



Symons Event Safety supports grand opening of new Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

CBBALakersGames250On October 25 Symons Event Safety started providing on-site first aid medical and ambulance services for the new $150 million arena in Ontario, CA as it opened with the Los Angeles Lakers. The new Citizens Business Bank Arena is a 11,000 seat multi-purpose arena owned by the city of Ontario and operated by AEG Worldwide which also operates Staples Center in Los Angeles. Other upcoming events at the new arena include Carrie Underwood playing the first concert on November 9 and Metallica on December 12, 2008.



Symons on Totally Off Road Radio  Symons Event Safety recently participated with Totally Off Road Radio (TORR) in a special live broadcast related to safety in off-road motorsports.  Symons' General Manager, Al Duke, and Medical Director, Jeff Grange, MD, discussed recent incidents in SCORE, CORR and other off-road organizations.  They also reviewed some of the recent research and discussed what to do if a lay person comes across the scene of a significant off-road accident.

Symons Event Safety Will Work with CBBA  Symons Event Safety announced it plans to provide ambulance services for the new Citizen's Business Bank Arena opening this fall in Ontario.


CORR Pomona 08 7Symons Partners with CORR  Symons Event Safety is proud to announce its partnership with Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR).  Effective immediately, Symons Event Safety will be the official provider of fire/safety services at all CORR events which includes everything from CORR's home track in Chula Vista to their tracks in Pomona and Las Vegas.  Symons' Fire/Safety Coordinator, Al Rapoza, will take the lead in ensuring that all CORR races are as safe as possible.

Symons Event Safety announces Mike Metcalf, EMT-P as its new Interim Operations Manager. On July 21 Symons Event Safety announced that Mike Metcalf would take over the operations management duties for Symons.  Mike is well known throughout the EMS community for his role as a flight paramedic with Mercy Air and as a field supervisor at Auto Club Speedway.  Mike also functions as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medical Services at Cerro Coso College.
