Our History
Symons Event Safety has been serving the Western United States and Mexico with one-stop, hassle-free event safety for more than 20 years. Started in Bishop, California in the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountains as a 9-1-1 ambulance Symons Event Safety has now become the largest provider of specialized event medical and safety services in the United States. Symons Event Safety provides uniquely qualified emergency medical personnel for events such as the NASCAR Sprint Cup at Auto Club Speedway (formerly California Speedway) to some of the largest concerts in the United States to the Air Rescue teams for the Baja 1000 in Mexico.

Judd Symons, EMT-P is the founder and CEO of Symons Event Safety and a graduate of Stanford's paramedic program with extensive background in suppression and emergency medical services.
Jeff T. Grange, MD President and Medical Director of Symons Event Safety and has provided care for hundreds of events for more than 17 years. He is also Medical Director of the San Bernardino Sheriff's Air Rescue Team and the Emergency Medical Services Director and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Loma Linda University and Medical Center.
Mike Metcalf, EMTP Operations Manager with 28 years of EMS experience. Mike is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medical Technology at Cerro Coso College. Mike also works as a flight paramedic with Mercy Air and as a Medical Supervisor at Auto Club Speedway.
Al Rapoza, EMTP As the Fire/safety Coordinator Al oversees all aspects of fire, rescue and safety for Symons. Al has over 25 years of experience with the City of Orange Fire Department's Urban Search and Rescue and remains active with CORR, SCORE, MDR and SCTA.
